Barah Broq Trek
Overview & Mountain Character
“A rewarding short-duration trek in the Ghanche region leading to high alpine tarns and the K2 viewpoint on Moses Peak.”
Ascending directly from the riverside village of Barah near Skardu, this journey climbs through a dramatic mountain gorge up to the alpine meadows of Barah Broq around 4,300m. The high valley features two crystalline mountain tarns tucked beneath rugged crags. A summit push to Moses Peak (5,350m) delivers remarkable panoramas encompassing K2, Nanga Parbat, and the Gasherbrum group. Without requiring technical glacier walking, this route offers a concise yet physically challenging high-altitude viewpoint trek.
