Great Tower Climbing

Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan•25-30 Days•June - August
Expedition Synopsis

Overview & Mountain Character

“An elite mountaineering objective presenting sheer vertical granite pitches and rigorous big-wall routes within the rugged Karakoram spires.”

Reaching an altitude of roughly 5,800m, Great Tower stands as one of the most formidable big-wall granite monoliths in northern Pakistan. Renowned for its solid rock quality, near-vertical wall sections, and continuous technical challenges, the route calls for expert big-wall competence paired with comprehensive high-altitude expedition stamina. Far more secluded than typical classic routes, it delivers an authentic, uncrowded climbing pursuit tailored for seasoned climbers aiming to tackle severe lines in an untamed alpine arena.
